cast of characters

Lani and Ann are the Weaver sisters!

Lani's household consists of Steve, the long-suffering coding genius and computer security guru; Jim, Lani's tall, red-headed and handsome son, currently finishing his second year of college; Hunter, Jasmine, Himari, Chenault, the miraculous Onyx and the even more miraculous Resk, undisputed feline rulers of the house; and Jesse, the man-hating green-cheeked conure.

Ann's household consists of Don, who is not just a computer genius but a pilot, a builder, and a damn good father; their son Steve, the marathon-running, college-bound, funniest teenager I know; and wonder dog Tater.

Other family members are Laurie, Lani's beautiful daughter who teaches at elementary levels; her handsome son Alex, aka Alexander the Great; Mary and Bo, a/k/a Mom and Dad, and Bud and Ann, Steve's patient and wonderful parents.

This Says It All (posted by Lani)

From the local TV news channel: "Snow totals as of 11 am Thursday: 43.8" "

Well, this says it too, from the Denver Post: "Storm snow accumulations reported earlier this afternoon ranged from 44 inches in Coal Creek Canyon west of Denver ..."

Here are a few pictures over the past 2 days that I thought you might enjoy. Jim learned how to use the snowblower! Doesn't he look happy all bundled up? And NO GLASSES!

Steve got to do some snowblowing too. He was *cough* thrilled. And Jim discovered that I was serious when I said we get major-league icicles here. He broke this one off the roof and tried some swordfighting with it!

Steve and I went snowshoeing with Margie. Yes, Bud and Ann, I swear this is really your son, and yes, he's really out snowshoeing! And finally, a quick shot of what our back porch looked like this morning.

So. When is everyone coming to visit?

wow, now that's an icicle... and Steve has obviously returned to his fascination with ninjas... I think its great that you're enjoying it! Stay safe.

I thought you had a record snow last time we were there, and this looks like more - a lot more! You don't seem to have lost Internet this time, though.

I'm glad you told me that was Steve, he's pretty covered up there.

Stay warm!

Ann (my Ann, this family has a lot of the same names running around) fussed at me for not updating my picture. So I just did. Hopefully the new one will show up now.

Are you sure it's Steve under all that black? Could be anyone.

I am still a Florida girl so I don't think I'm ready for that much snow. We get excited in Atlanta if there is a flurry.
