cast of characters

Lani and Ann are the Weaver sisters!

Lani's household consists of Steve, the long-suffering coding genius and computer security guru; Jim, Lani's tall, red-headed and handsome son, currently finishing his second year of college; Hunter, Jasmine, Himari, Chenault, the miraculous Onyx and the even more miraculous Resk, undisputed feline rulers of the house; and Jesse, the man-hating green-cheeked conure.

Ann's household consists of Don, who is not just a computer genius but a pilot, a builder, and a damn good father; their son Steve, the marathon-running, college-bound, funniest teenager I know; and wonder dog Tater.

Other family members are Laurie, Lani's beautiful daughter who teaches at elementary levels; her handsome son Alex, aka Alexander the Great; Mary and Bo, a/k/a Mom and Dad, and Bud and Ann, Steve's patient and wonderful parents.

Turn-About Dance (posted by Ann)

Steve was invited to the Turn-About Dance. Of course, he was invited on Thursday and the dance was on Saturday, so we went on Saturday and purchased everything on his body in these pictures. Good thing he's young and slim so he needs no tailoring - the suit fit him perfectly. His date is Mariah, and I was invited to one of the parent's houses for picture taking.

Doesn't he look grown? He will be 18 this year, but - but - well, I guess I have no excuse other than saying every mother feels this way, I guess. How can he have grown up so fast?
Mariah looks really pretty, and is a very nice girl. Steve tells me he was the back-up date, which worked for both of them.

Gotta go - crazy schedule this week, with a big meeting that will take up three full days and evenings. I hope we'll get a lot done, because sitting in the same room - for three days - with the same people - for three days - and then going to dinner - for three evenings - sounds pretty bad. Did I mention it's three days?
